Blue Man Group is a creative organization dedicated to
creating exciting and innovative work in a wide variety
of media.
Blue Man Group is best known for its award
winning and critically acclaimed theatrical productions
in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Amsterdam. These erformances feature three
enigmatic bald and blue characters who take the audi
ence through a multi media sensory experience that
combines theatre, percussion, music, art, science and
vaudeville into a form of entertainment that is like noth
ing else. People from all over the world, from all walks
of life and from all age groups have become fans of Blue
Man Group. The theatrical shows in New York, Boston,
and Chicago all share a similar script but vary somewhat
due to the size of the theatres in which they are housed.
The Las Vegas show, which moved from the Luxor to The
Venetian in October of 2005, is the largest domestic pro-
duction to date. Both the Vegas and Berlin productions
contain a mixture of signature Blue Man Group pieces
and new material. Because the Blue Man responds to
the environment around him, each performance is as
different as the audience makes it.
Blue Man Group’s unique style of music is played on
a variety of invented instruments.
Its debut album, AUDIO, which is primarily compriseSd of music from the
Blue Man Group theatrical productions, was nominated
for a Grammy and was certified Gold. Blue Man Group’s
second album, THE COMPLEX, was a step in a new di
rection: it featured lyrics and guest vocalists. The music
from THE COMPLEX also inspired Blue Man Group to
create a concert experience, The Complex Rock Tour,
which traveled the U.S., sharing the music from the album with a live audience. Blue Man Group is on the road
again touring North and South America with a new tour,
How to Be a MegaStar 2.0.
In addition to live shows and music, Blue Man Group has
created a series of innovative commercials for Intel, and
a number of television specific performances for programs such as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and“America’s Got Talent.” Blue Man Group has branched
out into musical scoring with their work on Barry Levinson’s “The Jury” and on the animated film Robots.
